Public Sector

Digital platforms for federal agencies, municipalities and public institutions — accessible, GDPR-compliant, open source, procurement-ready.

Digital platforms for public sector clients.

We have been building digital platforms for German federal agencies, municipalities and research institutions for over ten years — including the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR), Klima-Bündnis Services GmbH, the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek and the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL). From the BBSR's research portal to the STADTRADELN climate campaign with over one million active participants across more than 3,000 municipalities — our platforms are embedded in the day-to-day operations of public institutions.

Open source. No vendor lock-in.

We build exclusively on open-source technology: TYPO3, Drupal, Nuxt/Vue.js, Flutter. No proprietary code, no licence fees, no dependency on a single vendor. Your source code belongs to you — fully documented, transferable at any time.

For your procurement office this means: no hidden follow-up costs, free choice of maintenance and development partners, and compliance with the principle of "Public Money, Public Code".

Procurement-ready service packages.

Under the planned Vergabebeschleunigungsgesetz (Drucksache 21/1934), thresholds for direct procurement are set to increase significantly. Many of our service packages already fall within the range of simplified procurement.

We work on the basis of EVB-IT contracts (EVB-IT Dienstleistung / EVB-IT Erstellung) and deliver all documentation your procurement office requires: service description, pricing sheet, acceptance protocol. All prices net plus VAT.

Accessibility per BITV 2.0 and BFSG.

Compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA, BITV 2.0 and EN 301 549 is legally required for German public bodies. With the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), extended requirements for digital products and services apply from June 2025.

We build accessibility in from day one — keyboard navigation, colour contrast, screen reader annotations, focus management. Every delivery includes an accessibility statement per §12b BGG and a documented WCAG conformance test.

Hosting on German servers. GDPR-compliant.

All projects are hosted on German servers — Hetzner or IONOS (data centres in Germany, ISO 27001 certified). No data transfer to third countries, full GDPR compliance.

On request we deliver complete source code documentation and escrow for your IT department. Our infrastructure is reproducible and independently operable.

How we work with public sector clients.

Every project starts with structured stakeholder interviews and user journey mapping. We document architecture decisions, accessibility test results and deviations from the service description — in a format your procurement and legal department can use.

We work directly with federal agencies, state authorities, municipalities and research institutions. On request, we prepare an EVB-IT-compliant service description for your internal approval.

Let's build something remarkable.

You have a vision. We have the team to make it real.
Tell us what you're building — we'll tell you exactly how to make it exceptional.

Most inquiries get a personal reply quickly.

Free first consultation · No commitment · Award-winning team

Why serious companies choose us.

15 years. 100+ projects. Award-winning work.

The people who pitch are the people who build.

No layers, no handoffs, no revolving door of faces. The developers and designers you meet at the start are the same ones shipping your product at the end.

We've been the client too.

We build our own software products. We know the frustration of missed deadlines and vague updates — so we built our process to be the agency we always wished existed.

15 years of pattern recognition.

We know which technologies age well, which don't, and which were just hype. That judgment — earned the hard way — protects your budget and your roadmap.

You'll always know where things stand.

Weekly updates, clear milestones, no surprises. If something changes, you hear it from us first — not when the deadline passes.

Your code. Your freedom.

No proprietary systems, no lock-in. We build on open source and hand over full ownership. Change agencies tomorrow if you want. (You won't want to.)

Good enough is not in our vocabulary.

Internal reviews, design critiques, QA loops — before anything reaches you. We only ship things we're proud to put our name on.
